Ectropion (lids turned out)

Eyelids very commonly turn outwards as part of aging or as a result of skin damage. This can lead to an unsightly appearance, watering and irritation.

This problem can be very successfully treated with correct identification of the underlying cause. This is the difficult part- judging how significant the various factors are and then recommending the right procedure to correct them.

More Information
This patient has had a lateral canthopexy and retractor plication procedure to his left lower lid to correct his ectropion
