Entropion (lids turned in)

Eyelids very commonly turn inwards as part of the aging process. This can be very irritating due to the eyelashes rubbing against the front of the eye.

There are a number of different treatment options for this condition, ranging from quick and easy stiches to turn the lid out, to much more complicated options. This condition requires that the right procedure is picked from the range for the right person- taking into account their wishes regarding the duration of surgery and recovery afterwards.

This lady first had a left repair with a lateral tarsal strip, retractor plication and skin/muscle blepharoplasty. She later developed the same problem on the right hand side.
The right side is 1 week after surgery, the left 2 months.

She has had a very good result from her surgery and was happy with the whole experience.
