Lid retraction (lids too high)

Eyelids sometimes raise up as a result of overactivity in the thyroid gland causing eyes to look red, prominent and staring, and feel gritty and uncomfortable. There are a number of surgical options to lower lids. With this condition the issue is to be prepared to treat the lids step by step and avoid lids that are too low and droopy, whilst at the same time making sure that the eye is not at risk of drying out whilst the lids are too high.
